Animal Adoption Policy

Animal Adoption at Wild Discovery is safe and simple! Every new animal owner will have access to:

• Pre-visits with your pet to ensure best fit for your family
• Pre-adoption consultation reviewing all care and husbandry guidelines
• FREE habitats (for mammals) or greatly reduced gently used equipment available for all other animals
• Lifelong help with any questions you have

All animals in our nonprofit organization have undergone at least a 30-day quarantine period during which time they are observed for good health and any behavioral or medical issues. All concerns are seen by a licensed veterinary specialist however not all animals will visit a vet if they don't present an issue. We make every effort to identify and fully disclose all available history and medical issues at the time of adoption but cannot make a guarantee of health once the animal leaves our care. By adopting, you understand our animals are rescue animals with potential incomplete medical histories and we advise you to establish care with your preferred veterinarian as soon as possible.

We do not allow breeding of animals due to unknown genetic history. By adopting, you agree never to breed your pet, to return the animal to Wild Discovery should you ever need to surrender your pet for any reason, and to pick up your pet within 7 days of application approval. Applications are typically approved within 3 days once submitted. References are required for all applications and contacted before approval.
